What is the Free Qigong Starter Kit?
The Free Qigong Starter Kit is a complimentary introduction to Zhineng Qigong, a modern system of Qigong developed in China for health, healing, and wellbeing. The Qigong Starter Kit includes a 1.5-hour online group session led by certified teacher Britta Stalling, an e-book explaining the La Qi exercise, a set of two training videos with Master Yuantong Liu, and a guided La Qi audio meditation you can practice at home.
How much does the Qigong Starter Kit cost?
The entire Qigong Starter Kit is completely free of charge. There are no hidden fees, no subscriptions, and no obligations. We offer it as a community service to introduce more people to the health and healing benefits of Zhineng Qigong practice.
What do I receive after the session?
After attending the online Qigong session, you receive a set of two training videos with Master Yuantong Liu, an audio file guiding you through the La Qi meditation, and an e-book explaining the La Qi method in detail. These free downloads are available on the after-the-session downloads page using the password shared during the live session.
Can I share the Qigong Starter Kit with friends or family?
Yes. If you would like friends or family to experience Zhineng Qigong, simply share our page and have them register for their own free Qigong Starter Kit session. Everyone is welcome to join.
Session Format
How long is the online session?
The online Qigong session lasts approximately 1.5 hours. We encourage everyone to join the Zoom session 5–10 minutes before the official start time so we can begin together on time.
What does the session consist of?
The Qigong session consists of three parts: an introduction to Zhineng Qigong and a first experience of Qi (the life-force energy), a guided practice of the famous La Qi exercise, and a live Q&A where you can pose questions to the teacher via the online chat function.
How do I join the session?
You join the session via a Zoom link sent to you by email after you register. All you need is a computer, smartphone, or tablet with an internet connection. You may be asked to download and install the free Zoom software before joining.
In which languages are the sessions offered?
Zhineng Qigong sessions are regularly offered in English. If you would prefer a session in German, Spanish, or French, select the corresponding contact option during registration and we will get in touch with you about upcoming dates in your preferred language.
Registration
How do I register for a session?
To register for a free Qigong session, enter your email address in the Qigong Starter Kit form on the homepage. You will then see a list of upcoming online sessions to choose from, followed by a short form asking for your first name and country to complete your registration.
What if I don't know which date works for me yet?
If you don't know which session date works for you yet, select the option 'I don't know yet, please contact me for dates of further online sessions' during registration and we will reach out to you with additional Zhineng Qigong session dates as they become available.
I haven't received a confirmation email. What should I do?
If you haven't received a confirmation email after registering, please check your spam or junk folder. If you still cannot find it, get in touch with us and we will resend your session confirmation with the Zoom link.
Can I change my selected session after registering?
Yes. If you need to change your selected session, simply re-register on the homepage and choose a new session date that works for you. There is no need to cancel your previous registration.

What is Zhineng Qigong?
Zhineng Qigong is a modern system of Qigong developed in China in the 1980s by Dr. Pang Ming. It combines gentle movement, meditation, and breath to cultivate Qi (life-force energy) for health, healing, and wellbeing. Zhineng Qigong is designed to be accessible and safe for people of all ages and physical conditions, including beginners.
What does 'Zhineng' mean?
'Zhineng' translates roughly as 'intelligence' or 'wisdom ability.' The name reflects the practice's aim to develop the intelligence and wisdom of both body and mind through the cultivation of Qi, the life-force energy that sustains health and vitality.
Who can practice Zhineng Qigong?
Anyone can practice Zhineng Qigong, regardless of age or fitness level. The Qigong exercises are gentle and can be adapted to any level of mobility, making them suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. No prior experience with meditation or energy work is needed.
Dr. Pang Ming
Who is Dr. Pang Ming?
Dr. Pang Ming is a Chinese physician and Qigong master who founded Zhineng Qigong. Trained in both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine, he developed the Zhineng Qigong system after years of research and clinical practice, with the aim of making Qigong's healing benefits accessible to everyone.
Why is Dr. Pang Ming important to this practice?
Dr. Pang Ming is important to Zhineng Qigong because he created the structured curriculum and methods that define the practice today. His teachings form the foundation of the La Qi exercise and the three-level Zhineng Qigong practice system taught by certified teachers around the world.
The Medicineless Hospital
What was the Huaxia Zhineng Qigong Training and Recovery Center?
Often called the 'medicineless hospital,' the Huaxia Zhineng Qigong Training and Recovery Center was a large facility in China established by Dr. Pang Ming in 1988. It treated patients with a wide range of health conditions using Zhineng Qigong as the primary therapy, without medication or surgery, demonstrating the healing potential of Qigong practice.
How many people were treated there?
During its years of operation, the Huaxia Zhineng Qigong center reportedly treated hundreds of thousands of patients and documented many cases of significant improvement and recovery. These results contributed to the reputation of Zhineng Qigong as an effective healing practice for health and wellbeing.
Is the medicineless hospital still operating?
The original Huaxia Zhineng Qigong center was closed in the early 2000s, but the methods and teachings developed there continue to be practiced and taught worldwide by Dr. Pang Ming's students and their successors. Zhineng Qigong is now taught by certified teachers across many countries.
